Terms & Warranty Policy

Welcome to SURVHDD India. By purchasing any product from us, you agree to the following terms regarding warranty, usage, and pricing.

1. Warranty Coverage (Desktop vs. Surveillance Use)

All hard drives sold are intended for desktop usage. However, we offer two distinct warranty periods based on how the drive is actually used:

HDD parts (PCB, connectors, etc.)	2 months testing warranty	Replacement only, no refund.
Tools (cables, adapters, enclosures)	No warranty	Sold as‑is, tested before dispatch.

⚠️ Important: The warranty period is determined by the actual usage, not by the product label. Even if you buy a "Surveillance HDD", using it in a desktop PC gives you 4 months warranty. Conversely, using a "Desktop HDD" in a 24/7 CCTV system reduces warranty to 2 months. The customer is responsible for disclosing the intended use at the time of purchase.

2. Warranty Conditions

Warranty covers manufacturing defects, bad sectors, and mechanical failure under normal operating conditions.
It does not cover physical damage (drops, water, fire), electrical surges, improper handling, or tampering with the warranty sticker.
For parts: warranty is limited to replacement only – we do not offer refunds.
To claim warranty, you must provide the original invoice and a short description of the issue.
Shipping costs for warranty claims are shared: customer pays to send the drive, we pay to send the replacement (within India).

3. Pricing & Availability

Prices displayed on our website are indicative and may change without prior notice. We update our inventory and pricing frequently based on market rates, stock levels, and refurbishment costs. The final price will be confirmed at the time of order via WhatsApp or email.

Older website snapshots or cached pages may show outdated prices. Always request a current quote before placing an order. Bulk orders (10+ units) may receive additional discounts – please enquire directly.

4. Desktop‑Only Intended Use

All drives are tested and certified for standard desktop environments (ambient temperature, normal daily on/off cycles). We do not guarantee performance in extreme conditions (high humidity, dust, or non‑stop 24/7 write loads). If you need a drive for surveillance, we still sell surveillance‑labelled drives, but the warranty reduces to 2 months – this reflects the higher wear in 24/7 operation.

5. Limitation of Liability

SURVHDD India shall not be liable for any data loss, indirect damages, or loss of profit arising from the use of our refurbished drives. We strongly advise maintaining backups of critical data.

6. Acceptance of Terms

By completing a purchase (via WhatsApp or any other channel), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these warranty terms and the pricing disclaimer.
